Hello all. It's been a long time since we met. I'm not a very regular person around here. 'Other' things kept me away from posting on the blog for more than six months now. This might result in an extra-long write up. I'm not sure.
Well, to begin with, finally in June 2008, my mother's wishes came true. I had to get out of home. :P She always wanted me to learn to be a bit more independent. (a gross understatement :D) My extremely parasitic life, if I may, ended rather abruptly when I had to move to a whole new city with a whole new set of opportunities. It was exciting. Every bit of it has been exciting till today.
Almost none of the 800+ strong batch of people who joined the company on the 16th of June, 2008 had the faintest idea of what to expect. Of course, we were excited beyond the normal limits. The infrastructure wasn't helping much either. Every part of it, was either the biggest, or the best in the world. :D
I can't really remember much of what happened for a period of about two and a half months except for a classroom and a room back at the hostel. That was the training phase. And yeah, I remember one more thing. No no.. i don't.. or may be I do.. some friends were snatched away from me.. or I think so.. anyway.. nothing worth remembering or cherishing during that time period.
Finally the day of parting came. And then it went. It was just another day for everyone else. Not for me. I took it in the worst way possible. It was inevitable. We all had to move on.
I had been a dreamer all my life. I still am. I always believed that dreams do come true when you truly believe, that they would someday, come true. The path shows itself. It was a lot of hard work to get to the place where I am today. Nope, it wasn't easy. Suffered some pretty bad setbacks.
Looks like it's the time when all those hardships are bearing fruit. I'm moving to France (to work) in about 10 - 15 days from now. I'll be there for a long time. The saying in Hindi 'Kuch paane ke liye kuch khona padta hai' holds too true in my case right now. Sometimes I wonder, if it's the right thing to do, going abroad. Leaving everything behind. Family, friends, the city.. everything that is close to your heart. Obviously, it is very painful. The very thought pricks.
But looking at the brighter side, I get to visit the fashion capital of the world! I get to visit the Swiss Alps and the rest of Europe... the only thing missing is a Senorita. :D
So, ladies and gentlemen, I guess this will be my last post before leaving. Wishing you all the very best in life! May success follow you wherever you go and whatever you pursue!
Cheers!
